Delete Pages From a PDF in Seconds

Need to drop a blank scanner page, strip a cover sheet, or remove a confidential section before sharing a document? This tool lets you delete any pages from a PDF without installing software, creating an account, or uploading your file anywhere. Drop in a PDF, type the pages you want gone, and download a clean new copy that contains only the pages you kept.

Because every step happens client-side in your browser, the tool is fast and completely private. Contracts, invoices, medical records, and financial statements never touch a server, so there is no risk of them being intercepted, logged, or retained.

How to Remove PDF Pages

  • Upload your PDF — drag and drop it onto the drop zone or click Choose File. The tool instantly reads and displays the total page count.
  • Enter the pages to delete — use a flexible syntax like 2, 5-7. Open-ended ranges such as 7- (page 7 to the end) and -3 (pages 1 to 3) are supported, and you will see a live preview of which pages remain.
  • Download the result — click delete and save edited.pdf with the kept pages only. A PDF must keep at least one page.

Private by Design

Unlike most online PDF services, this page remover performs all processing locally using the open-source pdf-lib JavaScript library. Nothing is sent over the network, nothing is stored, and the tool works offline once loaded. That makes it ideal for sensitive documents where privacy matters as much as convenience. When you need to keep specific pages, merge files, or fix page orientation instead, the related tools below pick up where this one leaves off.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose which pages to delete?

Type the pages you want to remove into the input box using commas and hyphens. For example, "2, 5-7" deletes page 2 and pages 5 through 7. Open-ended ranges work too: "7-" removes page 7 to the last page, and "-3" removes pages 1 to 3. The tool validates your input live and shows exactly which pages will remain before you download.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool reads, edits, and saves your PDF entirely inside your browser using the open-source pdf-lib library. Your file is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will keep working, which makes it safe for confidential documents.

Can I delete every page in the document?

No — a PDF must contain at least one page, so you cannot delete them all. If the pages you select would remove everything, the tool blocks the action and asks you to keep at least one page. To split out specific pages into a brand-new file instead, use the Split PDF tool.

Will deleting pages change the rest of my document?

No. The remaining pages keep their original content, order, and quality. The tool copies the kept pages into a fresh PDF without re-compressing or rasterising them, so text stays selectable and images stay sharp. Encrypted PDFs that need a password to open generally cannot be read; remove the password first, then edit the unlocked copy here.
