Generate complete HTML meta tags — title, description, Open Graph and Twitter Card — instantly from a simple form. No sign-up required.

Fill in any field above to generate your meta tags.

What is a meta tag generator?

A meta tag generator produces the HTML you need to paste into the <head> of any web page. Instead of remembering the exact syntax for Open Graph properties or Twitter Card attributes, you fill in a form and get a ready-to-paste block of markup — no typos, no missing quotes.

Tags this tool generates

  • <title> — the page title shown in browser tabs and search results.
  • meta description — the summary shown beneath your title in Google.
  • Open Graph — og:title, og:description, og:url, og:image, og:type and og:site_name for rich social previews on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack and more.
  • Twitter Card — twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description and twitter:image for X (Twitter) link previews.

How to use the output

Copy the generated block and paste it inside the <head> element of your HTML file, or into the appropriate field in your CMS (WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Framer, and most others expose a custom head-code box in page settings). Fields you leave blank are omitted from the output, so you always get clean, minimal markup with no empty attributes.

Privacy

Everything runs in your browser. No data is sent to any server, stored, or logged. You can safely use this tool with draft titles, internal URLs, or unreleased product names.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are meta tags and why do they matter for SEO?

Meta tags are snippets of HTML placed inside the <head> of a page. They tell search engines and social platforms what a page is about. The <title> tag and meta description directly influence click-through rates in search results, while Open Graph and Twitter Card tags control how your page looks when shared on social media.

What is the difference between Open Graph tags and Twitter Card tags?

Open Graph (og:*) tags were created by Facebook and are now used by most platforms — Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, iMessage and others — to render rich previews. Twitter Card (twitter:*) tags are specific to X (formerly Twitter). In practice you need both sets, though Twitter will fall back to og:* tags if its own tags are absent.

How long should my title and description be?

Google typically displays up to about 60 characters for page titles and 155–160 characters for meta descriptions before truncating. Aim for a title that is descriptive and keyword-rich within that limit, and a description that reads naturally and gives users a clear reason to click.
